Three Cameras in Kanab

Grand Canyon, AZ to Ogden, UT

Day #2 of driving was the longest of the whole trip.  We drove from the Grand Canyon, through Page, into southern Utah, through Kanab, over the pass on scenic SR-14 near Zion to I-15.  Then North on I-15 through almost the whole state of Utah arriving at Willard Bay near Ogden long after sunset.   Most of our pictures were taken from the car.  Our stops were usually for eating and fueling.  But late in the afternoon there was an emergency, get-out-of-this-car-and-run-off-some-energy-before-I-lose-my-mind stop.   Some remnants of the Grand Canyon heading into the Navajo Indian Reservation. The next day we spent the whole day enjoying the park.  The boys rode bikes all over the place.  Tyler spent the day indulging the constant "Can we go for a bike ride" and simultaneously avoiding the rim...because, you know, it's a long way down! First thing in the morning, Truman and I walked to Mather Point to take in the views. We got a little lost and walked about a mile out of the way but we ended up with some pretty views, sited a few condors, had our picture taken and picked up a Junior Ranger Program book for...

The Goal: Pick Blackberries

Image
At the New Year we had a family dinner and talked about things we might like to do in the coming year.  One of the boys mentioned picking blackberries at Uncle Todd's.  Thus began our long road trip.  So, with the goal in mind I will perhaps try to post a few pictures and thoughts from along the way. Today, I give you blackberries.
