What's that boy so happy about?

He can escape!


Little feet pitter-patter down the hall.

Little hands open the door.

Little boy surprises mama in the shower.

And he can climb into his high chair.

Maybe he's trying to tell me, "No Sleep, More Food!"


But who can resist that smile? You can have anything you want little boy!

We took the crib and made it the toddler bed when we got here, for that same reason. Although Audri never climbed out as Andrew is talented enough to do she does climb everything. In fact her new thing is to climb up onto the bunk bed but with sisters screaming at the top of their lungs to me, I am hoping that we aren't headed to the ER anytime soon to do stitches. Love the pics! Can't get over how big they are! We are 4 months away from them being 2. How did this happen so fast??? Although our eldest are heading to school, well I know Aby is, not sure if September was the cut off or not. K I'm babbling as it is too late here! Love it though!

Rainbow Layer Cake

We saw this Rainbow Checkerboard Cake video several months ago and Calvin was intrigued.  He ended up adding it to our Summer Fun Ideas List and this week we made it happen.  This was not quite a Pinterest Fail, but if you look at the video you will see how far from the original creation our cake actually was.    One cake mix was divided into pink and yellow.  One cake mix we made into blue and green.     Lots of boys.  Lots of help.  Lots of hand washing.    We cut the center out of each one and rearranged the colors.    And stacked them all together.  If we had waited until the cakes were completely cool, or even par-froze the layers they would have stacked more easily without cracking. I am an inexperienced blogger. I write sporadically. I use a free blogging web-site.  I have not done a tutorial. I have not attended a blogger conference.  And I have had at least three reader's comments "lost" recently.  I am so sorry about that!! I do not know why this is happening.  I have double checked all my setting to allow comments. Even anonymous comments but the problem seems to persist.   Today I have made a small change so that the comments section will pop-up in a new window instead of at the bottom of my site.  Maybe this will help.   If you make a comment and it doesn't appear, please let me know.   Or just forgo all the blog-related-comment-mumbo-jumbo and email me directly!   I like hearing from you.
